Duración: 3 days / 2 night

Day 1

We will depart at 07:30 am from the starting point at Av. Pardo 885 (ex Inka Express local). The first stop of the tour will be in the Sacred Valley of the Incas at the Ccorao lookout, where we will enjoy some spectacular views of the beautiful Andean landscape. We'll take a 10 minute break there to 'soak it up' and rest a bit before moving on. The next stop will be at the ruins of Pisac, where we will receive a guided tour of the archeological complex for about one hour.

Afterwards, we'll continue the journey through the valley of Urubamba to Ollantaytambo (about 40 minutes), where our guide will teach us about the history of the vast ruins and the village for another hour. In this beautiful, little town we will have our lunch (buffet) before moving on. At about 2:00 pm, we will continue up a winding road in the direction of "Habra de Malaga", which stands at an altitude of 4,316 mtrs. From that vantage point, we will see some of the most amazing landscapes that Peru has to offer.

After a brief stop, we will begin our descent into the sub tropical region of the jungle, passing through the different micro-climates that combine the paradisiacal landscapes of the majestic snow-capped peaks with the hot, tropical entrance to the jungle. We will see lots of gorgeous landscapes all the way to Alfamayó, where there is a nice, paved road in perfect condition that we can use. We will need to take an unpaved road though, in order to continue on in the direction of Santa Maria, which is located at an altitude of 1575 meters above sea level. We will take a moment to rest in Santa Maria before continuing on to the small pueblo, Santa Teresa, where we should be arriving to at about 4:30 pm. Where to arrive at 6:00 pm approx. where we will spend the night in our designated hotels. For those who choose to, there is also the option to enjoy a relaxing dip in the medicinal hot baths of Cocalmayo. Then, all that is left is to finish the day with a delicious dinner at a nice, tourist restaurant before getting some much needed rest.

Day 2

After a 7:30 am breakfast, we'll return to the route, making our way to the train station at the hydroelectric plant, where we will board a train to Aguas Calientes, which leaves at 8:30 am and arrives at 9:30 am. Upon our arrival, we will be immediately transferred to our assigned hotel. That is the moment when you will meet your guide for the following day at Machu Picchu. He will take that opportunity to go over any final information with you that you will need to know.

The next morning, you will have the option to go up to Machu Picchu by bus or by foot. The guided tour of the citadel will begin at 12:00 pm and will last for at least 2 hours. After the guided portion, you will be able to enjoy some free time in the ancient ruins until about 4:30 pm or so. The recommended time to return to Aguas Calientes is 7:00 pm so that you can share a dinner at the designated restaurant with your group and guide, so that you can all discuss the plans and activities of the following day.

Day 3 - Maras - Moray - Cusco

The train which returns to the hydroelectric plant departs from Aguas Calientes at 7 am. Once at the hydroelectric plant, we will transfer over to a van, which will take us the rest of the way to Santa Teresa. We will spend about 15 minutes there, to take one last opportunity to get some food or use the restroom before continuing on. Afterwards, we will return to Urubamba by means of the same road that brought us here at the beginning of the tour, where we will have our last buffet lunch of the tour. Before ending the journey, we will have one final guided tour of the beautiful Maras /Moray and Chincheros sites, before arriving back to Cusco around 5 pm. End of service.
