HUMANTAY LAGOON

La Guna Humantay, located in the region of Cusco, Peru, is one of the most impressive natural jewels of the Peruvian Andes. Located at an altitude of approximately 4,200 meters above sea level, this lagoon of turquoise waters is formed by the slope of the Humantay snow, which belongs to the Salkantay mountain range.

Our adventure begins around 4:30 am to 5 am, boarding the tourist bus that will take us to the town of Mollepata on a tour of approximately 2 hours, passing through beautiful and picturesque towns such as Poroy and Limatambo.

In the city of Mollepata (2,900 masl) we will have a delicious breakfast and then continue by bus to the city of Soraypampa (3,900 masl), from this place we will begin the hike up for approximately one hour to the beautiful Humantay Lagoon (4200 masl), then we will begin the way back to Soraypampa where we will be able to observe the path to Salkantay (6,271 masl) and we will have a view of this sacred mountain, the second highest in the Cusco region.
