Inka Jungle 4d / 3n

The Inca Jungle Trek is an adventurous and scenic route to Machu Picchu, combining multiple outdoor activities such as biking, rafting, trekking, and zip-lining. Unlike the traditional Inca Trail, this alternative route offers a thrilling mix of adrenaline-pumping experiences and cultural immersion while passing through lush jungles, Inca ruins, and small Andean villages.

FIRST DAY: CUSCO - ABRA MALAGA - SANTA MARIA (BICYCLE AND RAFTING)

We will start the Inka Jungle at 7:30 in the morning, our mini van will pick everyone up at their respective accommodations. We will continue towards the Sacred Valley, crossing the cities of Chinchero, Urubamba, Ollantaytambo; cities that belong to the sacred valley. Then we will arrive at Abra Málaga (4316 m.a.s.l. or 14160 ft.), where we will be able to appreciate the majestic snow-capped mountain of Huacay Willca (Veronica). From this place, we will begin our descent by bicycle, passing through different ecological terrains, such as: Puna and cloud forests (both contain an immense variety of flora and fauna). We will finish the bike tour at the archaeological remains of Huaman Marq’a, finishing our route in the town of Santa María (approximately 1200 meters above sea level or 3937 feet). Lodging, dinner and breakfast the next day. Optional rafting activity.

SECOND DAY: SANTA MARIA - SANTA TERESA (ZIPLINE

After a delicious breakfast, we will begin the walk to the city of Santa Rosa (approximately 1 hour), traveling the ancient Inca Trail (Qhapaq Ñan). From this place we will observe birds such as parrots, hummingbirds, eagles and plantations of coca, coffee, yucca, fruit trees (orange, mango, banana). We will rest and chat in the town of Pispitayuc, where we can relax. When we start the tour again, you will enjoy beautiful and impressive landscapes of the Vilcabamba mountain range, which will end in the city of Qellomayo. Here we will have lunch and begin the last part of the hike, passing by the Cocalmayo hot springs (optional visit) and arriving at the town of Santa Teresa. Accommodation, dinner and breakfast the next day. Optional zip-line activity.

THIRD DAY: SANTA TERESA - HYDROPHYSICS - AGUAS CALIENTES

Continuing the legacy left by our ancestors, we will walk for 2 hours to see the waterfalls. In addition, we will see coffee and coca plantations until we reach Hidroeléctrica (1900 m.a.s.l. or 6270 feet). After lunch, we will continue walking along the train tracks until we reach the town of Aguas Calientes, where we will stay and have the afternoon free. In the evening we will meet for dinner and plan the climb to Machu Picchu the next day.

FOURTH DAY: AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHUPICCHU - OLLANTAYTAMBO

At 4:00 am and after breakfast, we will begin our walk to the citadel of Machu Picchu for approximately one hour. Upon entering the Inca citadel, you will show your ticket to begin a guided tour of approximately two hours. After the guided tour, you will have free time to visit Machu Picchu on your own and climb Huayna Picchu (optional, you must book in advance). As well as other places such as Inti Punku.

At the end of our expedition in Machu Picchu, we will descend to take our train to Ollantaytambo, where our transportation will take you to Cusco.
